1. Search exclude
Search Exclude is a WordPress plugin designed to simplify and enhance your site's search functionality. With this plugin, you can easily exclude any post type from appearing in WordPress search results. Whether you want to hide specific post types or apply detailed exclusion rules, Search Exclude provides a flexible solution to customize your search experience.
1.1 Exclude a post type:
Exclude in quick edit: The fastest way to exclude a post is in the quick edit section, “Click in Exclude from search” results and update.
Exclude in the editor: In the editor, navigate to the Search Exclude section, check the box, and save your changes to exclude the post from the search results.
Exclude status: a new column appears in the post types page, this column indicates if the post type is excluded or not.
1.2 Settings visibility:
In this section, you can view all excluded post types, along with additional settings to help define exclusion rules.
To access to this section, go to the wordpress sidebar, and click in Search Exclude:
Exclude Specific Post Types from Search: Use the second selector to search for the desired post type, then click to add it for exclusion from search results.
Exclude All Post Types: Switch to the “All” option in the first selector. This will exclude all items of the selected post type. For example, selecting “All” in the post section will exclude all posts.
Please note that excluding all post types does not change the status in the “Search Excluded” column on the post types page. This column reflects only items that have been manually excluded, allowing you to revert easily to the manually excluded items if needed
WooCommerce Support: If WooCommerce is installed, you can exclude both products and their categories from the search engine.
